When I booked my dive trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I expected stunning reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But then I saw something on the Amadive itinerary: **Wreck Diving**. My pulse jumped. This wasn't just a standard reef dive; this was an exploration into the past.

I have to admit, I was a bit a little apprehensive. Wreck diving requires extra care. But the team at **Amadive** was fantastic. Their Divemasters gave us an excellent briefing. We covered safety protocols, the story of the wreck, and what we would see. Being in such a small group immediately put me at ease safe.

Descending was magical. First, it was just a dark shape in the blue, and then the wreck came into view. It is massive. The ship is now a thriving new here home, covered in corals and teeming with marine life. I spotted giant groupers peeking from inside the cargo hold, and schools of fusiliers patrolling the cracks. That feeling of swimming next to this silent, ghostly structure was indescribable—eerie, awe-inspiring, and humbling all at once. It truly is a piece of history on the seabed.

If you're an Open Water diver (or higher) visiting Con Dao and seeking an adventure more the standard reef, I urge you this **Con Dao wreck dive** highly enough. It was the unforgettable highlight of my Vietnam trip. A huge shout-out to the **Amadive Con Dao** crew for their expertise and for making this incredible experience so memorable.
